Walking and exploring around Ottawa with “man’s best friend”

Dog friendly Not Edible

This summer season wasn’t quite as expected.  I had great plans to visit all these farmers markets.  Plans to explore the Outaouais, Quebec and the Laurentians, QC.  Excited for new adventures with the pup.  However, an old car that needed replacing took up my time and prevented me from travelling far from home safely.  Now that the car has been replaced and is running, the walking exploring around Ottawa has begun!  However, not to farmers markets.  But rather to trails, wilderness parks, anywhere outdoors that allow dogs.  This will be an ongoing project while I’m the charge of my dog.  Or as the Hawaiians call it, my dog’s kahu

Where have we been so far this summer?  The first place I went with my dog was the Mill of Kintail Conservation area. It wasn’t what I expected, it was more!

The second place we went to was to the LeTerrain, nature preserve. Pros and cons about this place. The biggest pros is that dogs are allowed at no extra charge either on or off leash and there is a great deal of freedom as to how you choose to enjoy the preserve.
