Kanata Farmers Market | Ottawa, ON

The Kanata farmer’s market was a nice start to farmer’s market season. I decided one weekend that I was going to visit a farmer’s market. Now many of the markets here in the Ottawa Valley region seem to start on or after Victoria Day long weekend in May. But this market started earlier and towards the beginning of May. This was fortunate for me because it gave me a chance to drive out to Kanata, ON and visit the Kanata Entertainment Centrum. The market itself is locate din the parking lot. Now there weren’t a lot of vendors but then again it was quite cool and windy. There were fresh vegetable vendors, small breweries, catering, plants, face painting a petting zoo and more. I didn’t notice baked goods but I’d like to revisit the market in the peak of the summer growing season and see if there are more vendors that show up.
