The Greely Good Market is a Modern Outdoor Market

Estimated read time 2 min read

The Greely Good Market is a new modern market.  I’m not too clear on why it’s a modern market but I was excited when I heard about it.  I was excited because it wasn’t very far from my home. About a 15-20 minutes drive away, if that.   There were a variety of artisans, crafters, farm producers, and food. What I did notice is that there were none of the familiar vendors that I have seen at the other markets.  The layout was also different. There was an entrance with a few vendors in shelters. Once you enter the inner area, there are vendors in their stalls with their canopy.  The food vendors are located at the back and is quite small. There is also a barn or sorts with a couple of vendors.  I’ll have to drop by again soon and get a few more pictures of the layout.

Layout aside, there is quite a variety of vendors.  However, I noticed that the price point of the merchandise seemed a bit more expensive. There weren’t as many “cheap” items that could be purchased as a way to sample the wares of the various vendors.

The one item that I did buy and enjoyed was a basil pepperoni pizza by Nona’s Famous Pizza.  I was surprised at how tasty the pizza was and light despite appearing very doughy.

Later in the season I noticed that the Greely Good Market started a Greely Night Market on Thursday evening.  I haven’t had a chance to visit the night market yet, but I love how night markets are popping up everywhere.  I think the night market idea is a great idea.  It’s a wonderful option for a night out during the week and a nice way to enjoy the outdoors during the summer and nice weather.
