Chickpea tikki masala is another dish I came across that I thought would go well with naan bread. Of course, I hadn’t made the naan bread yet so I had to eat it with rice, but still very yummy! It wasn’t quite a spicy as I had hoped but very tasty. Next time I make it, I will use more chili powder.

So here is my second attempt at the chickpea tikki masala and this time I did more put chili powder in and it was perfect! I also had made more of my naan bread along with a yogurt dip. It was nice meal.
Naan and chickpea masala on it’s own, while very tasty, may not be sufficient for a complete meal. To really complete the culinary experience I would add a salad. Perhaps a leafy green salad or a cool cucumber raita. A nice meat dish, like a beef curry would compliment the meal. I would also add something to drink. Either a tea or chai on a cold winter day or a cool sparkling gingerale or cider on a summer day. Of course, you can never go wrong with a mango lassi!
Chickpeas are a great bean. Other recipes that include chickpeas are any bean salad I make usually has a chickpea in it! Chickpea pakoras are great and a recipe I need to get that recipe posted! 🙂
