A Sunny Sunday Visit to the Arnprior Farmers Market

Estimated read time 2 min read

We went to the Arnprior Farmers Market this summer. We weren’t quite sure what to expect from the town or the farmers market, but as usual, we were pleasantly surprised. The market was small and cute. There was great energy in the market despite its size. They had the usual variety of vendors, artisans, baked goods, and produce, the vendor selling junk and passing it off as “antiques”. Lots of locals walking visiting and dogs. It was a very quaint little downtown with flowers, cafes, and boutiques, it was a nice Sunday afternoon. There was also a dog treat vendor, Doggie Deli. They were really busy. We eventually had a chance to meet them and they had so many lovely treats and bandanas. We left with three packets of treats, banana, pumpkin, and turmeric with flax seed.

Market aside, the location is picturesque. Arnprior is at the intersection of the Ottawa River and the Madawaska River. After our farmers market visit, we took a stroll around the town, wandered around the little downtown, and came across this great, tiny, covered little scooter from Derand Motorsport. It was totally Norm, corgi, and size! The owner of the vehicle came out and couldn’t say enough good about it, answering all of our questions. I was ready to buy one! We continued on our walk and saw lots of flowers, and found a great little path along the Madawaska River. We would have walked farther but it looked like rain. Pictures below. Another great and highly recommended day trip to the Arnprior Farmers Market.
